Owner-specific modifications:

Windows added; those and existing windows were lengthened
When Bill and Pat Bouchillon were ready to build their first home,
they wanted something different than the other homes in the area.
They chose Plan HDS-99-179—winner of the 1994 Florida Home of
the Year Award—for its mercury-gray stucco, white columns and
gray-shingled roof.
Even though it was the exterior that drew the Bouchillons to the
home, the interior is what kept them there. Pat, who (along with
Bill) owns a golf cart sales and service company, says it was the
home's "open concept, large entryway, double front doors
and split bedrooms" that made her choose this award-winning
plan.
Now, after living in the home for nearly four years, Pat has
come to appreciate the more basic features of the home. She
names the high ceilings, myriad windows and ample storage
capacity among her favorite perks. That's not to say the
Bouchillons don't enjoy their expansive master suite. It has
not only a private sitting room, walk-in closet and garden
tub, but also access to the backyard pool, which overlooks
the neighboring golf course's third tee box.
